Team List Team Selection Round 19 v North Melbourne

After the absence of the Round 18 selection thread, though i'd kick round 19 off.

With Rampe a test to return, i see him replacing the concussed McCartin. Francis holds his spot as the extra tall in the defence. Buller & McLean as the key forwards.
I can't see any other changes, unless Florent's performance in the VFL demands a recall? If so, he may replace Roberts but i doubt it and think Ollie has to wait another week pending his VFL form. Would like to see him force his way back in.

Good to see Robbie Fox is a test to return in the VFL after his lengthy conscussion protocols.

Grundy should dominate with Tristan Xerri out suspended.
According to the latest injury reports, Nick Larkey is still in doubt after being a late out last week with a low grade PCL injury resulting in knee soreness.

Will be interesting to see what reception club champion Luke Parker receives on his return to the SCG. Hope it's applause and not boos, even though he did decide not to see out his contract with us this year (would've been a definite regular with our injury list!).

Edit: Upon reflection, if Larkey is still out then i could see a case for Ollie to replace Francis as we won't need to play so tall with Xerri also out. I think Hamling has been solid in defence to hold his spot.

    Summary
    IN: Rampe, Florent
    OUT: McCartin, Francis

I think a lot depends on whether Larkey comes up. He’s apparently in serious doubt, as you say. I love watching him and truly admire what he’s done in such a crap side, but would be pleased to see him miss this week. If he’s out, less need for a third true tall. You can play Melican, either Francis or Hamling, then Rampe.

I also think we need a bit more forward pressure. The Saints bounced the ball out of there reasonably well at times, and Cleary may be an option over Florent for those reasons. The one saving grace is Norf have a truly garbage defence and even with our occasional misdirection going inside 50, they’re not likely to hurt us on rebound.

I kinda hope Caleb Daniel ends up with a lot of the ball. We’ll score 100 points on turnover if he does. He’s become a weak kick with poor judgement. Just a terrible recruit.

As for Parker, there’s no way he gets booed. We love him to death.

I think Cleary has been pretty ordinary in the last couple of VFL games. OFlo was definitely the best of a bad lot last week (of the smaller players; Snell was also decent).

        Team named;
        IN: Rampe & Ladhams
        OUT: McCartin & Francis.

Larkey still out for North., however LDU returns. They've named 2 x 2nd tiier Rucks to replace Xerri. Maybe that's why Ladhams was recalled?

I would hope so .... but near me there were a few richard craniums in Swans garb who booed him at Docklands earlier this year. I was very disappointed in them. In fairness though, there was mostly warm and appreciative applause.
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form

Not a big loss. Cant lay a tackle to save his life and constantly turns it over.

Turnover Ollie? Maybe because he fumbles? He's just needs to start playing good footy consistently. It's been a long time since Ollie has influenced a game.
