Our season summed up in interpretative dance.

Pretty impressive and dominant by the Giants
      12-8 to 1-8 in the second half…

Maybe they can get their first Premiership

They were my Pre season tip, started off no good but look at their fwd line, you need to defend everyone of them and that stops your run.

              The whole list is stacked

Grundy and Mills were Ok I think. To lose McLean in the first 20 seconds hardly ideal. A lot of our players looked either gassed or disinterested in the 2nd half. I was amazed Gulden came back on after he hobbled off. On a another note we need a need fitness head - how many lower body injuries have we had? I know Gulden's was unavoidable but even blokes who come back reinjure themselves 2 weeks later.

I forgot to add the above - Wicks and Cunningham tried bloody hard too - great to see.

I find him, in general, a total pain in the a#$%e. His shameless barracking for the Dockers and Saints in both those games was a disgrace. In this match we were right up against it, with a makeshift forward line before we even lost McLean, and further injuries during the game clearly hampering our run. Mills and Gulden are still catching up with the pace of the game, and this one was intense. Now that our finals chances are officially done, hopefully we’ll try a few new things. Buller is a far more promising prospect than Aaron Francis, for example. Maybe Snell could get a run in the seniors, too.

So frustrating at times. Has all the tools to be a high quality player, but just has those rough edges to his game that aren't improving. Those dinky kicks drive me bonkers too.

A tale of two halves hasn't better described many games of footy than that tonight. Thought our first half was excellent, our second half diabolical. But the giants were outrageously good once they got going.

Story of our season in many ways - frustrating injuries and unfit guys, some really good footy, and then large periods where we couldn't get our hands on it.

I would like to think we might see a couple of the younger guys get a chance or two in the closing weeks of the season - I thought Dattoli was good again in ressies today, and while he needs to do a lot more to make it at AFL level, don't think there would be any harm in giving him a couple of games on the run in.

And maybe Snell if Hamling is injured and Tom Mac still out.

Must say I'm worried about how far south Rowy's form has gone, and Campbell after some really bright periods at times this season was unsighted tonight.

A dirty night in the end for us, with more injuries to boot. But at least the stupid fantasy of making finals being peddled by the media will die down, and hopefully we can use the last few games to try some new things, and/or start to think about season 2026.

reminds me of the grand final . When the bigger bodies of the opposition start to get more physical we cannot handle it. Also our inability to take a contested mark stood out again.

I get Mcleans injury was not foreseen but what is with these guys to not pick Ladhams so we can leave 2 Talls fwd and maybe take the mark or bring it to ground for our smalls

Have a look at how big GWS were in the fwd line

Oh no what happened? I’m currently in Europe and checked in at half time- looked good - then this ! Oh well best to take this time to test out some new bloods and come back better next year.

Time for some calls for next year

Hamling/Francis/Lloyd, if they are still holding out players next year from the 22 we have no chance

Ramps, great servant, time to go

Jmac, salvagable, needs to improve or be overtaken, Cleary, Ollie very similar.

Rowy, simply doesnt do enough as a mid, not sure if he is ever going to be a 25 touch mid or where that would even leave him ? We moved Hewett on who was that same player with twice the possessions

Ladhams or Green need to play

Roberts, Sheldrick have shown potential, still very young

Braeden needs to go into the middle or at least be told to have a shot fwd of centre, give him the same licence Warner had when he was starting out

If we persist with Blakey in defence, he needs to play alongside 3 tall defenders. You cant have your razor thin, rolls royce jumping into and crashing packs. Put him on a wing

From the 2s worth a shot - Datolli, Hannily, Warner, Bice, Mitchell but when we pick them we need to let them play.
Take the blinkers off and let them off the tracks.... Look at this Angwin kid for GWS,never heard of him, 20 games, pick 20, 25 touches, let them play, if I see Corey or Cleary come in and get 5 touches after chasing it in the 2s I'll throw up
