Is Roosey playing it safe with Chambers?

I'm fine with Chambers ruckwork to date. I'd give him a PASS grade in that he does win some of the tapwork. I'd give him a better grade if he could make a few real effective taps that could put the play into the Swans laps.

Perhaps Jason Bally could give him a few lessons?

We also need a Jason Ball type player to be able to make plays, such as protecting the goal square... remember those low-flying ones he saved standing right in front of goal?

I've never ceased to get annoyed how he just stands there, playing it safe (to prevent injury? or maybe his brain just has implosions?) , doing nothing and just watching the onballers do all the work.

That said, perhaps secretly Roosey is telling him to play it safe, coz if we lose Chambers, we're a dead fish in water just playing Jolly. We wouldn't even have a backup in reserves, with Doyle (at least the guy could take a MARK!) and Erickson out

On one occasion the goal umpire signalled "touched" and a behind despite the fact Torture got nowhere near the ball. Did Big Jason ever achieve that?

I replayed that several times and it looked to me that the ball has shaved the goal post instead. Is it possible that the goal umpire perhaps was confused and indicated incorrectly what happened?

Less a case of playing it safe then playing to his skill level. Seems more to be a reflection of how generally unsure he is on the field as a player. He seems to hold off a little then go in all arms and legs in spurts, but i dont think at this stage he's adept enough to be in every couple of contests - he'd just get in the way.
Playing it 'safe' as a general rule leads to injuries IMHO. ie if that involves being non-committal in contests.

Speaking of Chambers, it looks like he has had a haircut.

Reckon - we've have him for seven rounds and he's still not worthy.

Personally, I wish we were still laughing at the ongoing incompetence of Dean Cox.

                he's a 3rd or 4th string ruck at best...

You think the goal umpire confused Chambers with the post?

Why does Roosy play him if a guy in the St George Crows could out-play him around the ground?

                    Give me some reasons?

What is the name of the guy in the St.George Crows? Let's draft him for next season.
