Hope we didn't come in overconfident. I'm not sure if we're good enough to be overconfident.

Four goals so far. An interesting spread: Gulden, Campbell, McInerney, Rowbottom."Unbelievable!" -- Nick Davis leaves his mark on the 2005 semi final -
Liked the leading from Dattoli in the lead up to his behind. Worked hard to make the space. Buller continuing to show some real potential too."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Weather a write off now but
Buller very good
Rowy good going fwd
Sheldrick disposal been good
I understand the need to switch in defence but that should be a more lateral kick, we go 45 deg back without anything out the otherside and just give up territory

That Buller goal - absolutely wonderful. Kicking old school not around the corner. He really is starting to look at home at AFL level - let's hope he takes some confidence from this run and builds on it into next season. Really like what we are seeing from him"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Dattoli is clean and composed. Sees what’s happening around him. Has a future I think. Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.👍 1Comment

I took a look at the weather radar when that rain hit the SCG. That shower was one of those tiny dots of heavy rain that last only a few minutes.
The rain is coming from the east-south-east direction, and there's only some lighter showers due at the SCG in the next couple of hours. Elsewhere in Sydney is getting drenched more heavily.
We couldn't capitalise on the scoreboard in that second quarter, but I put that down to the weather.
Essendon did not play to the conditions by adjusting their game plan for wet weather. That will probably change.

Umps need to be reminded it is not all about them..so many just plain wrong calls that quarter, or guessing what might happen."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

So you backed Ladhams forever and Cox finally picks him but it's Cox who has no idea? Well I'm sorry but I'm just super confused now.
Mind you I didn't watch the match to see how everything unfolded.Last edited by stevoswan; 2 August 2025, 07:03 PM.Comment
