Match Thread Match thread: Swans v Cats.

Weather is fine, 16° and no wind. Our sub is Cleary and it's Bowes for Geelong.

It'd be nice to honour a couple of milestones with a win today. Blakey with his 150th and Melican in his 100th. Perhaps even more of achievement for Melican, who has came back a number of times, after another soft tissue injury looked like ending his career.

Might be a difficult task against a Geelong side that are almost injury free and have been racking up some big wins. Although, their form might not be as good as it seems. In their last eight games, they've thrashed Essendon twice, thrashed North, Port and Richmond, beat St Kilda convincingly, but lost convincingly against GWS and Brisbane. So, since our recent form is more like the latter than the former, we should a decent chance of an upset. Of course, Grundy being out makes that a little more difficult.

That kick by Blakey was madness until I saw who he kicked it to

I feel like I've said it a few times lately, but I might as well say it again: Heeney looks sharp today.

You can almost put that Buller goal down to the second and third efforts of Wicks.

I always enjoy a key defender kicking a goal.

Sydney's Tackling is pretty ordinary at times

We’re not losing today because of the umpiring, but that reversal against Issac sums up the general state of umpiring this year. He didn’t get him high, but some umpire off the play felt the need to make himself useful. Meanwhile, legitimate high contact and throws go unpenalised. Just awful and not even in a bias sense.
