And I tend not to think that the Cats' pressure was exceptional. Rather, it was ok, but like you, there was more of b) than a) in our play yesterday. I think one of the bigger challenges he still has is the resilience of the group. It's been an issue he has regularly spoken about and it's why I wonder about our on-field leadership at times. Right now, I'm missing a Mr McPointy like Jarrad McVeigh, who actually corralled the troops and held people to high standards.
And before him Brett Kirk, who was very happy to be Pointy as well and hold his teammates to account. We are missing that kind of tough love leadership at the moment.
My opinion is objective truth in its purest form

Callum Mills has become a turnover merchant and captain to boot. Again our forwards got sucked up to the midfield leaving Geelong with a couple of free defenders.Clearly we missed Grundy but JMac (who have been a critic of) who has been very good the previous few weeks, was sorely missed for his link up play.

I got home in time for the second half and saw them dish up that tripe. It was a team looking forward to their holidays.
Cox has a lot of work to do. At times I think I can see what we are trying to do, but becoming stronger around the ball requires the right players for that - we have recruited outside players for a number of years and I'm not convinced we have the personnel for Cox's preferred method. In addition, our forward structure is almost non-existent. I reckon the loss of McDonald has hurt in many ways. He is the best forward option to get up the ground and give a contest, Sam Reid style. It's been left to Hayward who has struggled with it (Hayward is very good when he is against the oppositions fourth tall, not the key defenders).
As I said, Cox has a lot of work to do.

Logan McDonald had not missed a game in three years due to injury, so you cannot point the finger at him. Yes Amarty

Even Amartey played a full year last year.
Tilthorpe only played 7 games last year

We were lucky with injury during the season last year , this year that changed

A good example with Thilthorpe. He came through the same draft as Logan, and had his breakout year this year. Hopefully Logan will do the same next year

Logan will never be a monster but can have a good career.
