Why such a short turn around for the Suns .
          Seems unfair.

Poor Fairypups, missed finals by the barest of margins - hahahahahahahahahahaha

A result that pleases us so much

Two more teams to suffer pleasing losses to go, Hawks to get beat tonight please and the hapless Bombers to get well beaten, fingers crossed

The best bit is that only a couple of months ago the Dogs signed that lunatic Beveridge for another two years. He got kissed on the arse by the proverbial rainbow (otherwise known as umpires) nine years ago and everyone has been fooled into regarding him as a great coach since.

Actually I just realised the best bit is the Dogs need to keep training till Wednesday, just in case the Bombers win their first match in three months. Imagine having to front up for that. So good.

He seemed a bit glum during his press conference. I was only paying partial attention while cooking dinner, but I don't think that anyone asked him the question, that I would've really liked to have heard, "If Essendon beat Gold Coast, is there any chance that Jamarra will be back for the finals?"

It’s absolutely delicious that the Dogs lost. I am almost content with this season now.
Kissed on the proverbial by the father-son Gods and yet they still fall short unless they are also kissed on the proverbial by the umpiring Gods too. Get stuffed.

This is not really about the Dogs, but a few months ago most of the Melb media were hailing the reinvention of Lobb as a defender as a masterstroke, when in fact he revealed himself today once again as one of the great, all time pretenders and soft cocks in the AFL, as he has been for a decade.

Brisbane are leading the free kick count 9-5, but it seems to me that pretty well all the dodgy decisions have gone Hawthorn's way.

Suns have to make up the game they couldn't play due to the cyclone in March.

The AFL suck at drafting fixtures. They haven't learned their lesson from the 2020 season: fixtures need contingencies and the AFL fixture has little resilience to handle postponed games.

If the AFL knew what they were doing, they would get rid of the Opening Round and make a split round 1. If the wind is blowing dogs off chains in SE Queensland again, they would have a convenient time to reschedule the postponed match.

Another thing they should do to make the fixture more flexible is make the final rounds of the season double-up games. Teams play each other once in the first 18 rounds and then the double-up games make up the remainder. It used to be scheduled this way but the AFL changed to new software and this feature was lost.

Hawks and Doggies going down - a good daily double.

Ben King's goalkicking has been impressive of late. Go the Suns!
