Kennelly was off at the end of the game but looked OK. It was BBH who looked like had done a hammie, but then jogged around the ground much to the relief of all and sundry.

Crouch I believe played out the game, so if he had a broken jaw and being 20 goals up, he might have come off late in the game if anyone on the coaching panel had any brains.

Rodney also said he had plans to stop the Irish boy's run as well as stopping the swans from using the areas of the ground they like. Reckons he's done a very close study of how dees and PP beat us at the SCG. Is getting Greg yeh, yeah, Matthews to tell his boys how to handle meeting a psychological hurdle as the Aussies did in the times of West Indian dominance. Seems pretty cocky and reckons his boys will "take us on" and play their style, although he reckons we will try to lock the game down with man on man. Maybe we should play the run and gun stuff as shown against Richmond last week. We have the forwards to do it, but would they outrun us?

Not quite sure of the point of studying how the Power and Dees beat us at the SCG if his boys are just going to play their normal style.

Truth behind the rumour

Crouch, who played his 189th consecutive game for the Swans last week, is believed be suffering a jaw injury and Kennelly, who came from the ground during the final quarter of the victory over Richmond, underwent a hamstring scan during the week.

Makes sense. Both Port and Melbourne managed to find plenty of space at times avoiding what is viewed as our lock-down game. Eade wants to see if they did anything special that beat us, parts of which he could use too. Doesn't mean he will necessarily change his normal style, but rather add some tweaks.

Whatever else you might say about him, Rocket is one of the most astute tactical coaches in the AFL - I've seen him win games on the basis of match-day tactics, something that is increasingly rare these days.

He'll have some tricks up his sleeve - there is no doubt he still bristles at losing the corresponding game last year which as he pointed out on WLF this week cost them a finals berth just as much as the Melbourne game did.

I think it's 'flattery' if the Bulldogs change their game to try and negate the Swans' strengths.

Whereas in the first half of 2005 I didn't think the team had the ability to go to a plan b or c, I now think the side (and coaching staff) have matured to a point where they can adjust the plan during a game.

The $64,000 dollar questions are will the change work if required to be made, and will the change be made in good time?!
