    Urrgghhh!

The person who I'd least like to lose for an extended period. To clutch for a glimmer of positivity, in the two games that we've played, I didn't think that he was actually at his peak. In that, he missed a lot of kicks that he'd usually make. So, we did hand out thrashings, despite Errol not quite being at his best.

Though of course, he's probably our best gut runner and I suspect that he's one of our more vocal players, who both pushes others to keep going and organises their positioning. And if he wasn't injured, I'm sure his amazing target hitting would have returned pretty quickly.

Oh well, I'm sure that this team still has the talent to win plenty of games, without possibly our best player, so hopefully we'll still be strongly in contention when he returns.

    Urrgghhh!

FFS re: Errol. Can't take a trick, and not helped by a garbage @@@@** tackle either. Lets hope that we can keep building on a good start to our season however, which is more framed around the 'team game' (or at least appears to be). He is such an elite user of the ball though, that we will really miss.

There’s a lot you can’t replace with Errol but I think the footy IQ is the main one. Go back and watch the opening goal to Lizard on the weekend.

When Errol takes the clearing kick from McInerney, he’s just back of the centre circle with Lizard streaming by right in his eye line in the middle of the ground. 98 per cent of players give that handball. Errol’s smart enough to know that still places the onus on Blakey to then find the right player inside 50. Instead, he turns, hits Amartey, knowing Blakey will be able to get that handball instead and be running inside 50 for a clear and easy shot himself. It’s the difference between a goal beating likely, and a goal being all but certain.

Gulden & Piastri should have a beer together. Piastri will need to hold Gulden's beer though.

            Coaches votes for the game:

            8 Nick Blakey (SYD)
            8 Joel Amartey (SYD)
            7 Tom McCartin (SYD)
            4 Riley Bice (SYD)
            2 Isaac Heeney (SYD)
            1 Jarrod Berry (BL)

Seems about right, although I may have given Mills a vote or two. Not sure what Berry did to deserve a vote? If I was to give a vote to a Lion, it would be to Lester, who probably had the better of his battle with Curnow.

There's a few Swans on the leader board.

              20 Christian Petracca (GCFC)
              14 Nick Daicos (COLL)
              13 Sam Walsh (CARL)
              10 Marcus Bontempelli (WB)
              10 Charlie Comben (NMFC)
              10 Tom McCartin (SYD)
              10 Justin McInerney (SYD)
              10 Wayne Milera (ADEL)
              10 Ed Richards (WB)
              10 Jake Stringer (GWS)
              9 Jacob Van Rooyen (MELB)
              9 Nick Watson (HAW)
              8 Joel Amartey (SYD)
              8 Nick Blakey (SYD)
              8 Errol Gulden (SYD)

Not that Errol is going to stay there for long.

Doc Larkins saying 4 months for Errol would be the absolute maximum he'd miss. And remember in that four months we have two byes plus WCE.

Been out all day and just got home to see the news on Errol. As 'imuninformedtwo' said, what a gut punch. Really sad news....he was primed to tear the comp apart.

Time to step up lads.....but we are certainly better equipped this season to cover and handle his absence. Just stay fit guys!

Mills probably missed out because of his pathetic kick out in the last quarter. Bice should kick out. He gets it to the wing. To me the only genuine flaw in Mill's game are these dumb short kicks when players are covered.

                      Bring on Harry Kyle.
