    Round 2: the other games.

Should be an early contender or pretender clash tonight, between the Crows and the Bulldogs. Perhaps the most interesting aspect will be the quality tall defenders of the Crows, trying to contain the in form tall forwards of the Bulldogs.

On Saturday, I'll be going against my usual tendency of preferring the Giants to lose. I mean, the Saints being 0-3 has a lot of appeal. Of course, if they do lose, they'll probably blame the Giants academy. Even if the influence of the academy players is likely to be fairly minimal. Although, I suppose Briggs could get on top of De Koning in the ruck?

The round ends with the Eagles hosting the Kangaroos. There was a lot of confident talk coming out the Roos camp, after a first round win, so this is exactly the sort of game that they're likely to lose.

A fair bit of talent in the backup ruck clash, Thilthorpe v Darcy.

That Rankine goal was perhaps a bit too far out to be in the Eddie Betts pocket, but it was worthy of Eddie Betts.

Strangely, so was that Baker goal.

That was a seriously entertaining match. As much as I can’t stand either club, the Dogs deserved their win in that hostile environment.

Well, the good news is that the Giants lost, the bad news is that St Kilda won.

Having watched a few minutes here and there of the Port v Essendon game, I suspect that this clock will be ticking for at least another 500 days or so.

Days since Essendon won a final https://share.google/iR9FU99IdxeWauCZu

Really disappointing “matches” today. So far, anyway. I suppose North could implode at some stage.

                  And…North have reliably imploded.

Cooper Duff-Tytler has unbelievably clean hands below his feet for a big man. Gathered and given off three goals in this quarter that’d make Lachie Neale proud. Just wow.

Well, the Norf resurgence lasted just one round!

Long may this rotten club with disgusting supporters languish at the bottom of the ladder.
