I suspect the trade off for now is more running power and by default, less time on ground for our elite mids, which will add up over the course of the season. I saw Hardwick made a comment that was what he was trying to achieve too.
The question is how Grundy is going to deal with it. He seems to be enjoying it and flourishing for now. There’ll likely be a point at which we give him some relief. I’d be more inclined to do it and see how it works against lesser teams, after round 7.
id prefer to lighten his load game day rather than bringing Ladhams in for his 5th game in 2yrs at some point then wonder why he doesn't seem quite upto it
