    Hinds quotes Ruckman...

... on the subject of Chambers. And even credits RWO in the process.

    Lovely referencing, Hinds.

Now, if we could only get Morrissey to start doing the same...

Yeah, and now that I look back on it I'm pretty sure I said something like origami or okanui to Ruckster .. once .. recently .. you know, words to that effect ..

The article about Chambers, including Ruckman's quote, also appears in todays SMH. RWOers are being read and scrutinised!

Would you call it lazy journalism - the proliferation of media articles based on RWO comments is increasing alarmingly.

They discussed his bagging quite a bit on MMM in rd 3.

The surprising thing is that the article actually gave full credit to RWO and I appreciate that a lot. Too many mainstream media outlets act too precious and affronted if someone dares to print an article in full on a fan website, yet when the situation is reversed don't give a qualm about looting fan websites for material and then publishing quotations in their articles without attribution.

                            Re: Hinds quotes Ruckman...

I'm glad they credit RWO, and I suppose it's nice to be quoted but it was only a fairly flippant aside, but he didn't credit Jeffers for the initial strait line. Nor did he credit giant for the "torture" Chambers nickname which was used in the heading.

While RWO is often a great souce of laughs, thats not all it is, it also contains excellent food for thought.
Indeed the perspicacity and accuracy of the content of many of the threads is a quantum leap above what is produced by most sports journalists.

No, but he did declare it "cruel" & "predictable" - it's uncanny, how does he know me so well just from an internet forum?
