You take pressure and expectation off a whole team
and they play a different brand of footy.
Perhaps the new Bluebaggers coach has read:
”Where the Light gets in” by Ben Crowe a mentor of
    many including Ash Barty.

I don't mind seeing Geelong getting taken down a peg or two.

It's good to see Hayward doing okay. 3 goals so far.

To see the Carlton players playing as they are now is a massive insult to their former coach.....and obviously Geelong were up for our game but it seems they've gone into tonight lazy.

        It's very annoying.

I've only seen the last quarter, but it's been a much better game than I was expecting.

Sort of glad Carlton won...but gee Geelong are annoying. They could have ****ed up last week!

You do wonder what sort of madness went on earlier in the season, to turn Carlton into a laughing stock who unfailingly folded under pressure.

Good win from our point of view in terms of the ladder. If we beat Tigers tomorrow it’ll put us two games plus % above Cats.
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

It was really enjoyable to see Wilbur having such a ball!

Great result for us, assuming we take advantage of it tomorrow.

Amazing how different Carlton look under a different coach. It must have been so toxic at the end under Voss for them to suddenly play so much better.

I'm sort of hoping for a tell all book.

What's the preference? Brisbane to win, so that we finish the round in first place? Or Fremantle to win, so that Brisbane slip further into a bit of trouble? I'm marginally for the latter, but I could easily change my mind.

Carlton weren't that bad under Voss. They weren't consistent, however. They played only one half too many times and that cost them several wins.

They're off the chain now, playing more to their potential.

Bulldogs: Carlton kept up with the Bulldogs for 3 quarters before gaining the lead in the last with five unanswered goals.
Port: Carlton pulled ahead in the first quarter and slowly built up the margin over the game.
Geelong: Carlton kept up with the Cats all game and kicked the last goal to win late.

The common thread in these games: a four-quarter effort.

Additional notes on Carlton: Fraser has suggested he's not interested in the Carlton coaching job full time. The Carlton players are playing for the coach in an attempt to convince their coach to coach full time.

Brisbane in trouble again. Especially with Coleman sitting on the bench with a hamstring injury.
