    McVeigh

    Useful player. Coming along nicely.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Isn't it amazing what having a few games in a row can do for a player.

He seems to be coming good because he's been playing more of a permanent forward rather than a midfielder.

It is great to see him kicking goals, I don't know how many times over the years I have thought "he would have kicked that in Canberra".
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

All it takes is a little more game time which he is FINALLY getting.

I'm still far from convinced. I could only follow this match on the radio, but he looked awful to me last week. The only time I noticed him then was a two-minute passage of play where he dropped a sitter, passed straight to an opponent and was shoved away when he went for a tackle.

Looks a more accomplished player now. Playing as though he now belongs in the side. Amazing what confidence does for a player.

Yeah that's ALL it takes. Not training or years of being coached properly or time in the gym or anything.

Always had excellent speed, but has picked up on his quick disposals and a few beautiful long kicks. His tackling skills need some work, before he becomes a more complete player, and that's why I guess that's why he swapped with Ablett, when the game switched to defensive mode for us.

I'd probably prefer that he stayed in the next game (and not get replaced by Matthews). I really think that if we drop him too much, we're likely to be targeted by other teams (Essendon?) to get him transferred out...
