For mine, with experimenting playing 2 rucks with 3 tall forwards.

      IN: Grundy. Mills, Rosas, Roberts
OUT: Cleary, Kyle, Melican (inj), Armatey (managed).

      Emerg: Kyle, Snell, Dattoli

Tempted to also manage McInerney with his ankle , in which Kyle would retain his spot.

I like this. It makes for a very balanced yet attacking team

          Selection headaches!
Given we are 10 - 2, I would err on the side of caution with the selection of players listed as 'test'. To that end. I'd give Mills and Rosas another week off. McInerney to replaced by either Corey Warner or Dattoli, and Melican replaced by Snell. Ladhams to make way for Grundy, which is very tough on Ladhams.

Our injury list is terrible! Our list is longer than Essendon's, in the whole competition only Richmond's is longer. It's admirable that we are performing as well as we are when we have at least half a dozen Best 23 missing.

I would keep Kyle in for another week if Melican is staying out. Keep him as he has the speed off half back. Again the suggestion of Snell coming is a good one. So he could come in and Kyle can go out too.
Cleary and Hanily should definitely be out. Hanily probably a tad unlucky.
Amartey out would not be a bad thing as his output is dropping and we know he is not a 27 week player yet.

But if Mcinerney is missing then I would bring in Corey Warner or keep Hanily. Keep them all interested and hungry.

I would like to see -
              Chad in the middle
James Jordon not tagging for a quarter or two atleast. He could play half forward and play on someone but not hard tag.
Forward half pressure and turnover game.
              Stop the cute kicks
Ask Rowbottom to just hunt the ball. He did really good inside 50 entries last week - his kicking was much better than usual. His problem is that he rarely gets any kind of separation and hence ends up just banging on the boot.

Cleary, Hannily and Co, will be unlucky to miss but if others are available they have played their part for now.

No one would be more hard done by then Mclean or Ladhams so the rest would have to bide their time.

Would like to see another week of Kyle if he isnt displaced.

Agree with Chad in the middle, JJ tagging a back flank and hitting the scoreboard, Rowy going thru the middle and 3 tall fwds, 2 rucks.... Rinse and repeat

Might even have me not bagging the coaching group if that happens

It's a Sunday game, so the team changes are squads plus emergencies:

In: Grundy, Hamling, Mills, Roberts, Rosas
                  Out: Hanily (omitted), Melican (injured)

Bit surprised Hanily got dropped after his game last week and thought he was a replacement for Papley rather than Rosas. as the 2nd small crumbing forward we normally play. Cleary is not a natural small forward imo.

With Logan named on the extended bench along with Ladhams, wonder if Logan is chance to be rested in order to play 2 rucks / 3 tall forwards combo?

Likely game to experiment playing 2 rucks v Saints TDK / Marshall ruck combo.

Hamling maybe the 3rd tall down back to replace Melican if we decide to structure like that.

Saints have selected a stronger team with Nas & Liam Ryan returning, though they've lost Flanders with injury.

Final team sheet selection will be interestng tonight, as 3 players will be omitted. My guess/preference is that it will be Cleary, Hamling & Logan. Which means Kyle gets another game.

P.S. Is it still safe to presume those named in the starting 18 are safe from being culled?

Very good to have Rosas, Mills and Roberts back, they will mean a squeeze for the fringe guys.

I'd keep Logan in, has the most upside out of Mclean and Amartey

Its between Mclean or Ladhams, im taking Ladhams. A good problem to have

I prefer not to make these assumptions regarding players on the extended bench. Most likely, the three emergencies get named from the extended bench but that's not a guarantee. It's possible that a "starting 18" player ends up being omitted, though I can name no recent examples without doing research. Undisclosed injuries can also be a factor, or the need to rest a player.

I'd failed to emphasize that Logan is to be rested/managed rather than a omission. My view is to rest Armatey the following week (R14 v Port), to be replaced by Logan. Gives chance to play 2 rucks heading into our R15 bye, where it will be evaluated.

Don't care how they do it, but going away from 2 Rucks and 3 Fwds from now on is madness
