Swans chat Changes re the Cheating Puppies

So, we know Amarey is out, and now Wicks for 4-6 weeks. And Paps is another week away.

You'd think that means Harry C keeps his role, as he's the next best small defender we have - even if he can't replicate Wicks' offensive game. It possibly means Bice stays for now for his offensive game, even though I would have dropped him for his defensive showing lately.

My guess is Rampe comes back in, particularly if we're wanting to continue playing Mills in the midfield. I'd obviously have Hayden back in, but go for one ruck. And I'd be inclined to give Coottee another go, to add to the pressure and scramble in the front half.

But we're starting to get to the patch it together phase.

Roberts will come in. He had thirty-odd touches in the ressies playing on the ball - THE ROLE HE PLAYED IN THE SA WHEN HE WAS RECRUITED. -Give him a go there!

My Changes: Out: Amartey, Wicks, Ladhams, Cleary, Hamling, Rosas In: McLean, Roberts, Rampe, Melican, Dattoli, Kyle
Those who have the greatest power to hurt us are those we love.

Oh god. I totally forgot Roberts. My bad. Get him in. I’d love to get Kyle in too. But not sure the latter will happen.

The reason I think Bice will stay is Wicks has given us running power out of defence. You take Bice out too and Blakey becomes a sitting duck for the opposition.

Roberts is best on a wing - and the model we had earlier in the year was Serong as defensive wing and Roberts being the link forward - so he doesn’t solve that. He’s best deployed where he worked well earlier in the year.

While it wouldn't be practical for this game, I'm wondering if Corey Warner could be turned into a smaller lock down defender? He has the pace to go with dangerous small forwards, probably has the discipline and it's unlikely that he'll be a first choice player as an outside mid or small forward.

Agree with this minus Phillipou he doesn't chase or put pressure on as a fwd - we need someone who will put the team first he need time to develop his game

He should be perfect then based on Cleary and Rosas tackle pressure

I'd also like to see Dattoli given a go aswell.

None of the small fwds have hit the board or provided tackle pressure. Anyone will do at this point

Honestly i can't argue with that, Dattoli would be another i agree with, although Braden Campbell has been a disappointment i hope he can get some form over the next 4 weeks as i think he can add he
team first footy and apply pressure

I think Serong should go back. We've been leaking too many goals so have to try something different. Roberts comes onto a wing with Errol on the other.
