I still wish we had gone after Clayton Oliver last year.

Hamling is a fwd, a zero possession fwd too, Rampe is undersized

Melican is Vanilla but releases Blakey.
100 AFL Games, he can play, not surprised he cant get up for VFL.

Hamling is done, put a fork in him, the sooner he is gone the sooner the MC stop making stupid decisions

Well, I certainly agree with you regarding Hamlin and Cleary, Hanily as well. Pity we have so many injuries again.

          Injuries never help

I have no issue with any of them getting a game, I have an issue with some of them holding a spot.

Kyle is the only fringe player that has deserved a few games.

Rosas, Bice, Roberts, Cootee all deserved to be dropped but none have deserved to be held out by Cleary and Co or other like Datolli not getting a go at all.

Last word on Hamling, I rate him as a back up defender, below Melican, but we just played Freo with 3 tall fwds and 2 rucks and he never went to one of them. Freo are all fire-power and he wasnt played as a defender.
The guy he played on was probably BOG with 8 possessions

Blakey is already released playing Melican won’t free him up anymore

.Not sure I agree with you. A couple of weeks ago Hamling did an outstanding job on Georgiades against Port and was a significant reason as to why we won the game. He did a similar thing against an in form Ben King.
Melican is serviceable but struggles against high marking forwards. Good backup but that is about it.
Agree with you that he was a failure as a defensive forward against Freo, but that was a tactic that failed.
The problem against Freo was the output of the bottom six which includes Hamling, but also McLean, Cleary, Hanily Sheldrick and Cunningham, all who contributed virtually nothing.

We have Edwards and Tom for high marking fwds, Melican is the next best defender we have.

Melican had to be an option last week, Freo are huge fwd of the ball, stupid call from MC

Ramps is past it, needs to do the Mills role

Mills goes to the middle, Sheldrick maybe isnt bottom 6 if he stays in the middle like a proper midfielder

Rowy goes into the middle when Heeney and Warner rest fwd

Last week was an availability issue but none of Mclean, Amartey or Logan play well as a fwd when they have to Ruck, not one of them.

Our contested ball is terrible, cant compete against tops side. Mills is the only chance in there plus Sheldrick playing decent minutes or Rowy going thru there, MC take a loss for that

The fwd line crumbers and Hamling, someone at MC should just about lose their job over that one, only saving grace was limited availability of tall fwds last week.

Talk about fade aways, contested ball etc etc, this Coaches Box is one of the worst in the league.

no point talking about Hamling vs Melican as a defender, these retards think he is a fwd
He isnt an AFL player as a fwd

Its Melican vs Rampe or Harry

Come September if we have all the players available, Hanily Cleary, Hamling, Kyle will be replaced by Campbell, Mcinerney, Logan and Wicks.

that leaves us with only Cunningham, Rampe, Lloyd and Roberts and I am sure the committee will think Melican is better than Cunningham but is he going to offer more than Rampe.

                      keep everyone healthy and hungry.
Winning every game from here on is going to be difficult - Adelaide, St kilda and GWS are no pushovers. I think we may lose one game there. Hopefully not two

I see Adelaide has moved into the top four. I hope we don't put up another sub standard performance against a top 4 side.
