Big "Wow!".
I watched that game against the Hawks, and he was there only player in the Hawks having a real impact on the Demons.
Even if Chambers went on him this coming week, I wouldn't be surprised if Chambers had the one-up the way Everitt playedEveritt was playing below his best that day, but not sure whether he was a bit tired, because when he won the hitouts, they were won but hit out to nowhere (his fault??). As a result, their clearances were a shocker.
Should be careful though, as Hawks could always pull a bunny out of the hat ala-Tigers v Crows.. Fan since 95'. Member since 02'. Big Bad Bustling Barry No1  Swans Mad Fan in a St George Mad Town. Right Colours, Right Code :mad:Comment

I'd say it's an ideal time to take advantage of the opportunity, give Willo a rest and bring in one of the young midfielders like Schmidt or Willoughby.Comment

I sense another % boosting win this weekend for Sydney. The Swans are on a roll which I have very good feeling about.Occupational hazards:

Hold your horses boys, once we get on a run, we sometimes have some "unexpected" losses, and we don't want this to be a loss, because it prevents us a smack higher up in the 4, either that or to keep us there.
Umm.. maybe give one of our semi-injured boys a rest? Hard to pick from but I guess if Willo wants to play next year the "current thing" of doing that sounds like a good idea. Good to ice him for the big games coming after that (Saints/Pies/Crows/Eagles)..
Our 2's have really been given a good rap this year, and I'll be crying if we lose a Mal-type player at the end of the year.
Fast running side the Hawks, so a young boy like Schmidt would be a good idea. Hope the tackling stands up though..Last edited by BigBadBarryNo1; 22 May 2006, 09:01 PM. Fan since 95'. I am very very cautious of this game against the hawks, we are travelling along greatly, playing good footy, and they have hit a bit of a bad patch, but i think these are the games in the past that teams take for granted (ala adelaide v richmond) and think all they need to do is show up to win.

No way should we take this game lightly. Who remembers 2003 after our big win at the Gabba, we came to the SCG playing the Hawks who were in poor form. What happens, blitzed in the first half and we couldn't recover from that.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

Changing the line up should be desirable due to:
a) the need to rest & freshen up players like Willo, MOL, (c bolton, ablett if they are not 100%)
b) the present players are capable of covering weaknessess
c) the need to expose emergency/reserve players to top level for it to pay dividend later eg when a regular player gets injured etc.
d) it is a reasonable calculated risk with some change to face a weakened Hawk team
I agree with a guy saying this is the best round to give those named emergency in the past games exposure. This is more important than grabbing some higher % precentage points, though I think we would still gain % with the line up change.
The exposure will give us depth.Last edited by smartplay; 23 May 2006, 08:33 AM.Comment

We can debate forever whether anything posted on RWO ever has any impact on the playing group. But from long experience watching footy, I know that a team is far more likely to screw up against an unfancied opponent if it saunters in expecting to have an easy victory. And it's more likely to expect an easy victory, if the players are constantly told by the various media that they're bound to have an easy victory.Comment

Will everyone's favourite victim Zac Dawson stand Barry? Or will their Roughhead play our roughhead?
Will Williams' speed be too much for Leo? Could Crouch handle him?
There's an expectation that Lance Franklin will return, he's been playing on the wing in the VFL. Would he line up on Goodes?Comment

He would definitely make Williams accountable."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment
