    Next coach to be sacked.

My money is on Laidley, has been for a while, but after yesterdays, "The Board is happy" comment I think his odds have shortened.

If the people of Geelong and Frank Costa didn't love Bomber Thompson so much maybe he wouldn't be too far behind Laidley.

He has at least had more success than Laidley, Thomson made the finals last year, but failed to go much further, (thankyou ND ) and the year before and they won the Pre Seascon comp. So I reckon his job is safe (for now).

Laidley will be gone by the end of the year is my guess.

Thompson has a decent chance to hold his job if he can turn things around this year.

Daniher looked like he was in trouble, but now Melbourne is travelling quite nicely he looks safe again.

I read the comment where the pres said "I'm a big Dean Laidley fan" and I cringed.
Looking out for good omens which can bring the Swans the 2007 premiership

Laidley is the worst coach in the competition...
This guy is even behind Gary Bukenara!

As much as Laidley repulses me, he's probably achieved about as good as you could have hoped with that list. Neither over- or under-achiever - I think he's just achieved.

He has the added bonus of being cheap as I understand it - probably about half what they would have had to pay to keep Pagan.

I saw the Rama comments in part, but didn't know the context. At the time I gave him the benefit of the doubt, thinking he was trying to say Rama should concentrate on health, and not play again.

Was that not how it seemed, I may have been too generous?

Would be a huge consideration for the financial powerhouse that is North......

North is a perfect example of paying peanuts and getting monkeys.

Laidley and Thompson are on shaky ground.

Clarkson will not have his contract renewed.

Sheedy will never be sacked by Essendon.

Nah, Sheeds is just trying to take the heat himself and keeping it off the players. The news that Jason Johnson has been dropped has hardly made the press, completely overshadowed by the Kevin rants. I'm sure JJ's happy about that.
