    Fosdike: Super Sub

How impressive has Fosdike been in recent weeks? His delivery by foot has improved markedly this season. Always seems to start on the bench at the beginning of games, but when he comes on he has added something to the midfield.

        Becoming a vital player.
Just as well, our midfield needs his pace.

is he really that quick? I think he chased a ball with Hawk Williams in the last qtr and I surprised at how slow he was!

I think his ability to hit targets is the major plus for us now

Yeah he's quick, used to be a 400 metre runner.

Certainly quicker than Kirk, Ablett, Williams and probably JBolton.

Doesn't say much for pace of the mark or ability to burst from the pack for a quick 30mtr dash

I think he is in career-best form. He is hitting targets and finding space very nicely.

Fossie's a superb endurance athlete - always just a smidge behind Spriggs in the pre-season trials. As a sprinter, he's certainly no slouch, but certainly not the fastest going around. This was beautifully highlighted in his clash with Mark Williams, who made Fossie look like a lame Ricky Mott.

On the positive side, I think Roosy's got him playing some really good footy. Seems to be hanging out on the wing mostly these days and is providing a very active and accurate link between the backs and forwards. His delivery into the forward line is one of the reasons why our conversion has been so good of late. His kicking to a leading forward in good position has been terrific.

Agree - even though he's been around for quite a while now, he's finally finding some consistency in his games, stringing performances together whereas previously he would play a good game, then have two quiet weeks etc

Yep career best form for mine too. The grand final has done wonders to him in his confidence.

Another thing to note is that his disposal is alot better because he's kicking through the ball more to get the extra metres to a lead. The old Fosdike would land his passes a metre short.
