What was Bazza thinking?

Deep into the last qrtr at the "G" nearly 10 goals up, Torture Chambers sets himself for an easy mark in the goal square, then he is spoilt...by Bazza, running back with the flight of the ball! What was Bazza thinking?

Not only would Torture have marked but he would have also goaled.

Oh well there's always next week.

He was just saving him from having to take a set shot and try to kick a point.

Bazza had it under control and Torture should have shepherded for him.

Dont forget the sitter Torture dropped when on his own in the third quarter dead in front. Couldn't even blame it on footsteps.

I agree and in the spirit of team play, Barry should be severly chided!

Could there have been a better team building exercise but to give Paul the opportunity. It could have been the turning point of his season!

Or perhaps he trains the house down at goal kicking practice and Baz was worried about his spot?

Torture's ruck work has been excellent, however I don't think there is a bloke worse below his knees than Torture in the AFL. He's so bad, he just drops to his knees.

Hope he develops over the offseason.

I was sitting down that end of the ground and watching Chambers closely. One thing that impressed me was that he was genuinely annoyed that he was not able to get a mark and goal in the last 10 minutes.

He could have just sat in the goal square and waited for the final siren but he seriously wanted to be involved in the play which is a great sign that his confidence is not shot and that he does want to get a hold of the ball.

It's all easy for us to laugh and carry on about his ball getting ability but for us to be a serious contender this year we need him to be confident enough to demand the ball when he has time to use it and then do something with it, however small or insignificant.

Saturday night in the last 10 minutes was that perfect time to help him out and hopefully we can purposely bring him into the game over the next couple of weeks.
