    Recalcitrant AFL Clubs - Essendon.

I thought Collingwood was a joke with their "alternative" jumper. Have a look at Essendons.

How long before these 2 clubs decide to break away and form there own league? The founding ethos will be "we will only obey rules that we agree with."

You're right, that is an absolute joke. That new jumper certainly isn't going to improve their footy...

Throw em out of the comp and back to the VFL. They can wear whatever they like back on the oval at bleak Windy Hill.

Our jumper doesn't clash with any other clubs jumper, so my understanding is that we haven't been requested to provide one.

FWIW I think all clubs should have a home strip and an away strip.

Nor do we have to wear white away shorts.
I had a Lions fan complain about the fact that we're 'special' haha.

The Essendon alternative jumper does its job and is an excellent idea.

Now that it is predominantly red instead of black with a little bit of red the problem of clashes is solved.

Which club does the new jumper clash with?

It's a joke that they have been forced to submit a clash jumper in the first place.

This is actually a requirement of the AFL's fashion department.

We clash with Brisbane a bit (maroon is similar to red). It's a good excuse to wear the red V strip

I think Essendon's proposed clash jumper is even more similar to Melbourne's and should be rejected by the AFL.

I don't understand why Essendon and Collingwood are so against the idea. A few extra merchandising $$$ never goes astray.

As said before, I'd like Sydney to wear the red V strip for matches in Melbourne.

Freo's all white is just about the best going around (even better than their 'home' strip)
