Poor old Geelong - how can you throw away a 6 goal lead at 3Q time at home!

Just sent a text to a Cats supporting mate asking how the Cats lost that game, this was his reply:
They should delist all 42 players. Fold the club and relocate to Darwin. I cannot believe how gutless that team is.
I tipped the Toasters, but couldn't believe they came back from 9 goals down in the middle of the 3rd quarter. Bomber Thompson might just have moved to the top of the "next coach to be sacked list".

        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Apart from being thumped by over 100 points by Collingwood, this is the worst loss Geelong have had for a very long time. They wasted the opportunity of a 9 goal lead 18 minutes into the 3rd quarter only to lose by 3 points.

Game Over Thompson! Game Over Geelong!!!

          BTW, I tipped Eagles.
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

Who would be a cats supporter?

Just when you think they are going to lose the "handbagger" title they go and earn it straight back!

I tipped the Weagles, but was pretty worried at half time. I was workong, so the next score I got was with 10 minutes to go.

I think the black rage has finally subsided down under dangerous levels (but my god it took a lot of chocolate to do it). It might comfort her to remember the Syd vs Geel game that got Rocket sacked. We were 30+ points up 10 mins into the last quarter and still lost. Schwatta's last game... and Rocket's too.

Big comebacks do happen when one side just runs out of steam. Remember that one against North Melbourne?

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

The Cats didn't "run out of steam". They choked.

They let the WC get a sniff by some very ordinary & negative play when the Cats seemingly had the momentum & the bounce on their side.

Maybe the scars of Semi '05 have yet to heal.

They were just showing some of them doing it after the game too.

You would have thought they learnt a lesson from last years final, obvioulsy they didn't and the result was the same 3 points, just not as dramatic at the end.

Big turning point was when Harley got injured, it meant Mooney had to go down back and they missed his aggression up forward.
