    Goodesy

How well is Goodesy playing at the moment??? He should be right in the mix today to contest the 3 brownlow votes with Baz. Admittedly though, today, I could have throttled Goodesy for giving away that 50m penalty...a player of his skill and experience should not be giving away 50's like that. Apart from that he is in an awesome spell of form. Anyone get on him for the brownlow early in the season and get some juicy odds??? Those odds would be looking even better now that Juddy is out for a few...

An absolute superstar who is playing better now than in our premiership year. Along with Barry Hall, our most important player and a terrific clubman.

I commented to my wife during the match that you can pick a class players (ala Goodes) from a good player when first touch everytime is a clean touch, no fumbles and makes the right decisions 9 and half out of 10 times.

Adam Goodes is the real deal at the moment and needs to be for the next 5 rounds as our toughest competition (Collingwood, Adelaide and West Coast) is looming. He is a real good chance at the Brownlow Medal this year. TAB Ozbet seems to agree as they have him $12 to win alongside Bazza with $16.

I am biased but I thought Adam put in another good game. I was screaming at the TV when that 50m penalty was called but I was screaming at the Roos player. He could have made a bit of an effort to catch the ball and make it look OK.

        That's how biased I am.

He was superb in the final quarter this afternoon. I can't split him & Bazza for BoG!

But the 50 he gave away was not good - I think that's the second or third time he's given a very soft 50 this year so far. It's not really too much of a criticism after today's performance, but he needs to make sure that a moment's madness doesn't come back to hurt us in a cruical game.

But really, keep it up Goodesy - you're a star!

Yeah, the commentators kept saying how he had to make up for the blue and I'd definately suggest he repaid us all for his brain freeze!

I thought his first three quarters were okay, although a bit aimless at times. Kicked straight to the Kangaroos a couple of times and there was that stupid 50m penalty.

However, he was everywhere and making things happen as best he could. Produced some handy passages of play.

              His last quarter was excellent.

He had 12 kicks in the last Q last week. Must have got close to the same today.

When you play blinder last quarters every week you must be fresh in the mind of the umpires come vote time.

                  6 kicks, 1 handball.

Last week half his kicks were dinky little ones in the backline as we chipped it around.

I am glad I got him at $81

Goodsey and Baz are the reason Roosey looks like a first rate dill everytime he claims "we are a team with no superstars".

                      Goodes = 80% genius, 20% idiot.

Normally you can rely on him so it's relaxing when he's aiming for the ball. But yesterday he was running back with the ball and so Richards let him have it - Goodes din't try too hard and you should have seen Richards yell at him after we lost possession!

Similarly the 50m - giving it was stupid, then standing on the mark with his hands on his hips was pure petulance.

btw Manuka is like a club ground where you see the interaction between players. The Swans weren't happy with each other for a lot of the game.

But, then again, neither were we.

                        Pretty much!

Although I put it more at 50/30/20, where 30% is normal.

I'm glad to hear the players were getting up each other during the game - it shows they care and were not happy with their collective performance. It is that type of spirit that means they can pull something out of the bag in the last quarter and somehow come away with the 4 points!

It's a fine line. A team arguing amongst itself generally isn't a good sign.

                              who mentioned ARGUING?????

displeasure with a teammates effort is not unusual
