    Kirky's Last Qtr

Loved Capt Kirk's last quarter yesterday. Reminded me of King Kelly at his best and the Kirky of years gone by. The little fella is worth his weight in gold in those situations. I just love his workrate and think he is getting back to the Kirk we have known and loved the last couple of years.

"Ball up Benny" Matthews was terrible and soooooo slow once again, Chambers is like a roo in headlights when the ball falls in his lap and I think we missed Williams & Malceski's pace big time yesterday....
Well somebody told me, You had a boyfriend, Who looks like a girlfriend,That I had in February of last year, It's not confidential, I've got potential

Somebody told me, The Killers, Hot Fuss, 2004.

Agreed about Kirky. I thought he was a bit quiet over the previous couple of weeks, but maybe that was just because Jude was everywhere!

Good to see Kirky coming back to top form - we're going to need that against the pies!

Kirky was an inspiration. Real Captain material. Baz was doing the same up forward.

agreed hall and kirk were inspirational but

i also felt jolly's last q effort was outstanding

the main reason we cleared the centre and created scoring chances

Jolly was also better around the ground. Took a couple of marks and had 4 possessions. Created more of a presence than in the rest of the game.

Our effort in ruck and clearing out of centre couldnt have gotten any worse than it was in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Inept is the best description I can think of for our midfield during that period.

Agreed, but two turnovers by the big J earlier meant he had some making up to do.

That was good to see. It was something Ball did constantly. I was hoping Torture might have been at least capable of filling a hole and taking the odd mark at the start of the season. I would be good the see Jolly kicking goals again.

I also thought that Barry Hall had an outstanding last quarter.

Kirk was good in the last quarter. We were being smashed in the clearances up until he put his body on the line.
I feel we need to work much harder in the midfield as we have some big games coming up where the teams are strong there. In the stats the Roos had more centre clearances than us so we need to look at that and work harder.

You just cant [sic] help but put your boot in at every opportunity. You would make the most soul destroying coach a team could ever not want to have. How about trying to find some positive about how much they improved and that we won? Is it really that hard?
