I hated him as a player...only because he was so good. Hope he enjoys retirement.

That's unfortunate for the Brisbane mob. Well, it's a sign that the Brisbane Lions have to look forward for new talent if they're going to be a powerhouse in the AFL like they were in 2001-2004. It's also a good opportunity for Jason Roe to continue good form in the backline...
I only support one team: The SYDNEY SWANS!!!!! :adore

        14 seasons, 227 games, 3 premierships, 1 B&F = good innings

I always used to worry when he pushed forward against us. Matthews would send him forward to change the matchups if the momentum was in Sydney's favour.

On almost every occassion he would do his job and add spark (and marks inside 50 + goals!).
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

It gives them salary cap room now.

He was a champion, sad to see him go but everything has to come to an end eventually.

Was the first of a few decent young Vic. players to be happy to go north and try and build something. For the same reason I begrudgingly pay the Scott brothers some respect too as that attitude paid off.

.................. while others chose to go to "successful clubs"

Robert Walls made mention of this on On The Couch last night. He rated Leppa in Brisbane's top 5 players in their short but proud history.

                        I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
