Why should almost two years ago count more than current games?

I was very impressed with the skills both teams showed with a wet ball at the SCG recently - must have been the Doggies game when it drizzled.

Except for the fact it was a semi and not the PF...

I get the feeling that the last q last week used up a fair whack of petrol tickets which may well have an impact this week, particularly on a heavier ground.

That's possibly true, although there are two potential offsets:

            - St Kilda did much the same thing, staging a big comeback against Melbourne on a big ground, but also failed.

            - The Swans appeared to rest themselves in the first three quarters!!

I feel the opposite. I really feel we will carve the Saints up. This could get really ugly. 60-80pts I reckon.

Ugly depending on which team you support I guess

A public humiliation would be brilliant given the level of my hatred for St Kilda.

                  Ha Ha of course.

                  Then's there's this

Suggesting we are kicking bigger scores in one quarter and shutting down the rest of the game (although being slightly beaten on the scoreboard) for the other 3.

And the Saints are doing the opposite, trying hard and winning quarters by smaller margins but being blown away in one quarter enough to lose the game.

Going to be an interesing Sat. night.

                    Interesting table.

We have the ladder position for the Swans:

                    Code:
10 rds Last 6 rds only
                    Actual 4

                    Based on Quarters won

                    Total 7 1

                    1st qtr 3 1
                    2nd qtr 9 9
                    3rd qtr 4 2
                    4th qtr 11 6
Shows our second quarter is easily the weakest and our last quarters are just average. We get away quickly though and we don't seem the have that post-half time hangover we used to have.

Does that say we won 11 4th quarters out of 10?

I think it is "ladder" position.

No... if the ladder was made from just 4th quarter performances, we'd be coming 11th...

It means we suck at final quarters so far this year!

It's a rank - Swans are 11th in winning fourth quarters.

We still owe the saints a revenge game for that match in 1998 ...

Assuming that's tounge in cheek? Statistically we may suck in 4th Q, but generally we've done more than enough by end of the 3rd quarter that there is no need to go all out in Q4
