Let's face it...we are travelling nicely!

    * I know this may come back to bite me at some point thread*

I mean come on...we are going along beautifully!!

6 wins in a row, scoring over 100 points in each. A small injury list, our big guns firing and our younger brigade showing continued improvement.

We have just won 5 away games in a row, not many clubs do that ever and most of our tough games ahead are at home. There is absolutely no excuse NOT to finish in the top 4, possibly top 2 with Adelaide.

Even "Doughnut" Chambers is showing improvement and providing some ample back up in the ruck.

Let's all enjoy the current position of our premiership team and !

    Go Swans!

I share your sense of satisfaction and celebration but one of those away games was at the SCG and another was at the predominantly Swan supporter filled Manuka Oval.

Still says away on the schedule and that means we are due for a long run at home in the next month which can only be a good thing considering we play some great teams in the next month.

If you had said to me pre season we would be 7 and 3 after 10 with all big guns fit and firing I would have taken it with glee.

I think we're definitely travelling better than last year. Arguably more so than at any stage last year.

We have 8 home games in the last 12 rounds plus a game at the MCG. So this is all rather positive.

On the potential downside is that our form at home has been mixed. Hopefully most of that was part of the hangover though.

We also have potentially very tough games in that last dozen.

Nevertheless, I think we are better placed at the moment, relative to the rest of the competition, than at any nearly any time in my memory of following the Swans.

(and is that the jinx to end all jinxes!!).

Well knock me over with a feather! Excuse while I push my jaw closed. Yep, I agree with all of that. Funny how things have changed now and the MCG no longer holds any fear for us. And I really do believe that our early home game losses at the SCG were an abberation. We'll know better by 10.30pm tomorrow night.

Certainly agree with you and Bloods. The early home losses can be attributed to our early premiership hangover and our traditionally slow start to any season.

I am simply enjoying life and enjoying the current position of our team! They are playing beautifully! Yes, losses will come, however, I am still enjoying watching the Swans play each and every week and at the least I can be guaranteed of a 100% effort.

That is all I can ask as a supporter.

Are you German? That's not the way the rest of us would write "You need that glass half full of water."

And as other have said here and as I said last week - I'm pleasantly content with our footy at present. We're premiers and looking like having a fair shot at back to back. Even if the second half of the season doesn't show the promise of the first, we've already show last year's flag was justified - and that's more than the previous premiers achieved.

                    "What team do you support?"

                    "The Premiers."

"Oh, the Swans. . . Go Swannies."

Are you German?..........How insensitive can you be? Please refer to the Andrew Schauble in Europe thread in the Sandpit.....Isabelle the Swiss exchange student is German Swiss. I have been left out in the cold while they are happily singing German songs.

I was referring to ROK lobsters avatar from last year. I'm now too upset to write the next episode where Satch whisks Andrew away from the cluthches of the evil exchange student to go walking in Provence.

We are traveling nicley, but our early season form at home ,I dont think was due to hangover but there where to many individuals and not enough team work.I went up to sydney for the port game, and i was fuming we played crap football. On my way back to melbourne i was thinking we are going know where if we keeep playing like this. But i was wrong we are flying and hope it continues.Back to Back maybe.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

We are travelling along very nicely.

Some fairly solid performances in the past month and a fantastic comeback against the Roos last weekend.

As a few people have said, the next few weeks are really going to test us.Adelaide,Collingwood,West Coast and Freo are tough opposition.

We have put ourselves in a great position to take on these teams.St Kilda tonight i believe, will give us a run too.
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

How nicely we're travelling will depend very much on the next month too. I hope I can the same as earlier in a month!
