    Article? what article?

    Nice Picture!!

Kangaroos chief executive Geoff Walsh said last night that the Roos, who spent clearly the least on both football operations and players in 2005 ? a staggering $4.75 million less than the premiership-winning Swans on football ? were beginning to close the expenditure gap that grew to an alarming extent in 2005
"We will spend a million dollars extra than we spent in 2005, that's the new thing I can say, in terms of starting to try and close that gap somewhat," Walsh said.
That's a lot of chook raffles.

Maybe they could put cameras up in each of the players houses and start a pay-tv channel called "Big Kanga" or something.

Shame they didn't do it a few seasons ago, think of the rating's!

Maybe they should install speed cameras on Arden street and recoup some of the money they gave to the players.

The same article is on the SMH - Source however, the title is changed to "Revealed: How the swans bought the flag".

Very bad journalism. Whether it was meant as tounge in cheek or not, it remains the wrong message. Does anyone know if Jake Niall is a jealous Melbourne-centric journo?

Much better headline than "Swans spend $1.6 million more to win flag last year than the Pies did to try for the spoon".

Or how about: "Brisbane pay half a million more than any other team in 2005 for fitness/medical staff".

Or "Swans blue-collar players earn $1.4 million more a year than Eagles super-stars"
