Standard footy interview.
Baz on the couch

Thought Baz was ok - I just think the OTC format is really weird. It's more like a press conference as 3 blokes just ask completely random questions about any aspect of the game or the interviewee's life.
But Baz has certainly become a more accomplished media performer - interesting to hear the he is doing - and enjoying - ambassadorial roles for a number of corporates. An unlikely spokesman for Citibank but he clearly enjoys the opportunity.Comment

My understanding was that the Swans first put it in place and other teams have now followed. It seems like every Swans player will have at least one Sydney house and a career by the time they retire. As most (Leo?) won't be able to walk for many more years, that's a great scheme.Originally posted by Sanecow
I think it's great that they have a career's counsellor. Just like school.Comment

Leo is doing his MBA I believe so he'll be able to afford other people to do his walking for him.Originally posted by Go Swannies

I specified Leo as I don't know of any other Swans player who has hurt himself as much for the team (remember the spleen?)Originally posted by Captain
Obviously, but why single Leo out?
Before Leo started playing smart (2005), he spent months of going straight onto crutches at the end of each game, starting cortizone injections on Wednesday through Friday, then throwing himself at everything the next weekend. Week after week.
If Nicksy said that he thought the Swans physios would be his best long-term friends, and another ex-Swan sold his house, apparently because he couldn't get up and down the stairs at the age of 35, I think Leo will end up crippled by footy injuries. Some financial security will be helpful.Comment

Why did he play then? Given that the conditions didn't suit his game & he couldn't really stretch out (i was wondering why he didn't even contest in a number of marking contests). Why risk making it worse?Originally posted by janpa
Article in todays Tele tells us Barry had a slight hamstring strain - pulled out of training on Thursday night and could not stretch or go for runs and could not possible bend down - so explains why he couldnt do as well as previous games. Hope the break will help him recover for the C'woods.Comment

Just so they can play a replay of last year's 'love nudge' for mcguire on the big screenOriginally posted by Agent 86
