    Roos the Axe????

    Is he foxing????

I think so, I can't believe we going to see wholesale changes in a run of 5 games against Top 8 sides.

Perhaps one might come in but I can't see it being more than that.

Interesting to see the pecking order though.

Vogels, Moore and Bevan in front of Schmidt and Willoughby.

I am starting to think that trading away our first round pick on 05 was a mistake and that Chambers is essentially a lost pick. Our young guys aren't getting a game in the seniors. I cannot understand why we would be trading out of this years draft for older fringe players. Look where that has left Laidely and Sheedy of late.

    Give Earl a game!
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

while it had been a luxury to have used only 24 players this season, "staleness" could become a problem.

"I don't like to pre-empt anything, but I think you'd like to introduce a couple of new players"

        About bloody time.

Blind Freddy (and half of RWO) could see that some changes were necessary.

And as for those people sooking when some called for changes and said "you don't change a winning team"...
Captain Logic is not steering this tugboat.

"[T]here are things that matter more and he's reading and thinking about them: heaven, reincarnation. Life and death are the only things that are truly a matter of life and death. Not football."

I'd stake ROK Lobster's life on Chambers playing this week (barring an injury).

            This week? Poor Rokster!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

With Fraser possibly playing lone ruck against us, it opens up the possibility to risk a few things with our ruck division.

ie Jolly playing 20 min a quarter. Doyle/Shaw/Erickson playing 10 mins a quarter.

I reckon he'll drop Davo. I bet Roos is sitting somewhere right now (probably eating a sandwich, does he ever stop eating?!?!?!?) thinking "Okay, I've done the ground work... how can I truly crush him emotionally... who are we playing next?"

The bit that says the most in that article for me is
"The greatest fear is that you want to pick players and you try to pick players, but they are not getting much game time over the next month," he said. "We often leave guys out of the seconds, too, because we need to keep them in case there is an injury in the [senior team] warm-up.

"Luke Vogels will have had half a game in four weeks which is unacceptable to try and prepare yourself for AFL footy. You are talking about a professional organisation that turns over $30 million a year that obviously needs to play their players in games.

"It's almost farcical that we can't provide a game for our players."
Sounds a bit like they are looking at alternatives for the reserves - hopefully they can come up with something that will work.

                  I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

getting a [Luke] Vogels in, or a [Jarred] Moore or [Paul] Bevan back ... and Tim Schmidt ? hopefully they will get their opportunity
These names do not add up to dropping Chambers. Maybe Leapin' will get Schaublized.

As we aren't playing this week, I hope poor ROK isn't the first of NMW's virgins?

YES to the former, not sure about the latter. Dempster would be very stiff to get dropped. But he may have to be the unlucky one.

Doesn't look like there's any room for Mathews in the 22 anymore. I can hear RWO collectively rejoicing from here, and I am not about to object either, if Roos is serious about injecting fresh blood!
