Is Leo playing that badly or are his assignments tougher or indeed has his opposition worked out how to exploit his obvious physical frailties a lot better?
I personally think Leo has lost the courage to throw himself into more contests due to hot umpiring. That includes running hard with a leading forward and trying to punch. He's getting busted for holding, arm chopping and all the rest of it.
To me, Leo is relying on running his forward opponent as far away from the goals as possible and sometimes that isn't far enough.
Leo's confidence was sapped out of him in the 1st quarter of the first game of the season.
His dash from defence is still important, but we need him to stay strong ala Craig Bolton with his opponents.

Cut the guy a bit of slack. He is responsible for perhaps the greatest thing that has ever happerned to the Sydney Swans. Sure he hasn't set the world on fire, but the guy will come good at the right time of year. He is a genuine hero.
Not sure what everyone thinks of Ted Richards though. I think he's undisciplined.Comment

Add Richards. I think he is due for a reality check in the ressies.
I mean would Roos ever shift him down there or would that be too embarassing of an image that one of our 'glamour' picks for the year have been shifted down to 2nds?Comment

Vogels is a bit of a kick chaser (I haven't seen him play this year) as his 2nd and 3rd efforts are not really there.
It might have more to do with fitness so if he has that heart, he too might see more senior selection.
We have all seen Luke's fancy stuff, good overhead, quick etc but needs to complete the package a bit more.
As for Teddy, well he seems to be playing like a bloke who was right into the glam of Melbourne footy and is struggling with the Sydney team ethos (hate using that word).
Ted would do well to be a little less satisfied with his performance and improve on the areas of accountability, speed and skill level, decision making etc.
He has the potential, just needs the ticker to push the body to its limit. The Pain of Discipline is Nothing Like The Pain of DisappointmentComment
