    Matthews

Although many posts week after week call for Matthews to be dropped. It won't happen.

The impression I get from reading Paul Roos' quotes in the media is that he sees him as some outstanding player.

He persist's with Chamber's because Doyle isn't ready but there are plenty of replacements in the reserves for Matthews.

It also worries me that the Swans will offload younger players at the end of the season and keep what we have now.

Mid season slump appears to be developing with losses to crows and eagles based on current form.

The only games Matthews will miss will be through injury.

Now where is Tonya Harding and her baseball bat?
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I think it's safe to assume Mathews is one of the 11 players roos is referring to who haven't been training.

Surely this is reason enough for him to be dropped!

I thought it significant that he was hardly on the ground in the

last quarter. Fit or not the game has gone past him.

Surely guys like Moore, Schmidt and Willoughby must be better

options. Let them play seniors and earn their stripes and get

experience by playing a "run with " or "tagging " role , then let

them loose. This is how J. Bolton and Kirk started off - remember ?

I'm really interested if Roos will finally drop a player from the sacred leadership group.

i'd be interested to see the result of a mid-year re-election of the leadership group.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know
