    Doyle

For those who saw the 2's on the weekend, would Doyle be capable of coming back into the 1's this week? He'd obviously be lacking match fitness, but surely he'd make more of a contribution than Chambers.

No doubt P46 that "Donk" would contribute more than "torture"

Spent time on the bench with with appeared to be another leg

problem. Also spent more time up in the forward line than on

the ball - very frustrating !!!!

doyle can mark, kick and do more than merely make a contest in the ruck. if he breaks down then he'll be delisted just as he would be at the end of the year without a seniors appearence. if he doesn't, our ruck will be 50% better.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

There's no point in bringing Doyle back after one week back, especially if he's to be brought back as a ruckman - a role he didn't play at all on the weekend.

Given his propensity to get injured - soft tissue injuries as well as collision injuries - surely if the club is going to get any value from him this year they've got to let him get three or four games under his belt first?

Is the new Centre Circle safe now that we haven't had as many knee clashes?

What about Goodesy leading the ruck combo contesting centre bounces and Jolly doing the around the ground stuff?

Sounds a bit desperate I know, but if there is little chance of injury and it gives us another play maker, then maybe worth considering.

Torture is torturing me every times he goes near the ball.

Leave Doyle in the magoos for 3 weeks at least. He needs to get his confidence and fitness back.

Earl Shaw is the man to come in. He's ready.

Jamie Lawson with his stuffed up leg could ruck better than torture...

I'd prefer it around the other way, Jolly in the centre ruck contests and Goodes doing the around the ground stuff.

We could probably use Doyle for a week. Good mark, hard working ruckman to hold the boat. He would be of better use if he had better disposal and effective tackling..All in all lets face it, since he injured himself yet again, I don't think he's a long-term prospect any more.

I see that Chambers did take one nice EFFECTIVE mark last week but I think at this point, he'd probably get more confidence from a "win" in the 2's.

Shaw would be a certain starter but he has been named on the emergency bench, and I don't know why Roos doesn't have a backup ruckman. It looks like Goodes is the more likely cover for Jolly when puffed out.. either that or Roosey is conceding a loss against Freo's very slow moving giant Sandilands and hoping that we'll get more out of having a faster pair of legs for clearances.

I don't Hally should take any more of those ruck contests up in the 50 circle which would stuff up his back again.. throw in Vogels (he's tall enough!) and see how he does..
