    Drop Benny??

    Darn tootin.

    Link

And he volunteered to be dropped.

    The 5 most likely.

Roos has nominated promising young premiership defenders Paul Bevan, 21, Sean Dempster, 22, the versatile Luke Vogels, 23, and midfielders Tim Schmidt, 20, and Jarred Moore, 20, as the leading candidates to win call-ups.

            That's Part 1 done.

Part 2 is to make him stay in the reserves all year.

"Benny said, 'Yeah I put my hand up to play seniors and I probably shouldn't have'."
And this coming from someone in the leadership group - plain selfish IMHO, so much for doing what's best for the team!

              I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, it is a disgrace that he can go into the record books as a Swans captain! Shocking attitude and I hope to goodness that he gets a right butt kicking for it, at the very least by his teammates for being such a selfish GIT!

then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

Go Bevo!! He had a good game on Sat night. Seemed to be giving lots of direction and reading the play well.

"But he's certainly one that needs to go back and play some footy because he hasn't really trained much and played much.
Don't the reserves just stay home and watch telly on Saturdays?

No, they just stay home. They can't afford telly's without seniors match payments.

Perhaps it is, but when you are part of a team, there should not be room for "I put my hand up to play seniors and I probably shouldn't have" - ego ruled over what was best for the team and it contributed to a loss. For the supposed "we do it for each other" attitude they had last year, that is a prime example that that attitude no longer governs their footy this year, and that will cost us any chance at back-to-back if it continues.

OR it's a prime example of the "Bloods" spirit of sacrificing yourself for the team - so you're not 100%, who cares, you put yourself on the line anyway. It's the attitude that saw many play the Grand Final injured. Should Leo Barry have opted out of the Grand Final?
