    Crouchy streak over?

    SMH

AFTER a record 194 consecutive games from the time he made his AFL debut, the astounding run of Sydney tagger Jared Crouch may come to an end tonight.

The resilient Crouch has been able to take the field on many occasions when it seemed injuries might get the better of him, but a run of niggling problems seems to have taken its toll and he is expected to be a late withdrawal from the team to play Fremantle at the SCG.
I would have loved to see him reach 200, but I guess its better for it to happen this way then for him to be dropped.

    Yeah it will be sad.

But an 100% in-form Crouch can crack any of the best in the league, and I'd prefer that than him working at 60% and "waiting" for him to get over a carrying injury.

The Adelaide / West Coast games are probably too important..

Hope his replacement (likely to be Moore) has a cracker..

Hmm.. our defence is starting to look weak with all those rookies in defence isn't it?

Hally is carrying injury so I'm not sure that will carry us too

Well I guess we can't go as bad as we have been..

Interesting. Who will come in as a small defender for us?

I believe Bevan will play Crouchy's role tonight.

The article suggested Moore would be the perfect replacement, and he's ahead of the other two in the pecking order, regardless of size.

"Hall said that when your team was in a slump, players had to be selected on form and not reputation."

I really don't see that Richards and Chambers had a reputation to begin with. Apparently Roos thinks Mathews had a good reputation though.

Did Freo bring just the one ruckman (and not their number 1 ruckman at that)? It could be the perfect time to debut Earl.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

They've selected Longmuir and Polak, both of whom have been out for a few weeks. The only other ruck option for them is Johnson, so bring on Earl!!

Yes, Channel 10 just confirmed it; Crouch out, Moore in.

It's going to be really strange not seeing #28 Crouch on the park; the last time that happened this was the Swans side (round 6 1998)

Boy did we have some passengers in that team.

Ahmat, Arnott, Green, McPherson, Mooney, Orchard, Warfe. How did we win a game.
