Still love Craig's work, love seeing him play but he was just simply outrun by Pav.
I don't think he out ran him, just out marked him when the ball came in quickly and high which allowed him to jump at the ball.

Any other time for the rest of the night Bolton was able to run with him and spoil him on the lead.

Pavlich certainly made CB look silly a couple of times...almost made me feel sorry for growling at Leo for being beaten on the lead so often...but Pavlich is a first line player. I feel Craig came back strong, though IMO he has not been quite as consistent / reliable this year. Still a hero & never quit blood.

When B2 started playing beside or in front of Pavlich, his peerformance improved. He was able to spoil or mark and become a valuable contributor.

Started the game trying to play from behind - Pavlich was too big and strong and held his marks.

In the last qtr the ball wasn't getting into Freos fwd line which also helped.

I couldn't understand why Connolly didn't move him onto the ball.

I thought it was one of his better games this year. I think he's had an average year so far, but Sat night I think he did a reasonable job on Pavlich.

Someone put a rocket up Leo barrys ass and show him how to defend, the guy was a joke last night.
If it wasnt for Bolton we would have been out of it by half time.

Bit harsh about Leo. Leo was definitely not a joke last night. Maybe you should stick the rocket up your ass. Still can't believe how Leo cannot do anything right by some supporters. Never has a good game. Admit it has not been his best season but last two games have been quite good.

I thought he did pretty well last night. Only had the one goal kicked on him late in the last quarter and created a lot of run with Kennelly. And believe it or not.....not free kicks against Leo!!! Last two weeks seems Leo is having a bit more of a run and running up the ground as opposed to staying in defensive 50. I like him playing more up the ground.

I thought Barry was alright on Saturday. One of our better players in the first half.

In the second half he looked a bit slow on some leads, but I had the impression he was hanging off his man to try to give some help to Bolton on Pavlich.

I'm a long term fan of LRT but he does have a slight weekness against fast leading forwards, remember Charlie Gardiner last year. So while i'm happy seeing him on Rocca or Brown, I'd be more nervous with Pavlich.

And FWIW I thought Leo was great against the Dockers, he performed as a top class tackle breaking half-back rather than an undersized full-back. Great to see!

Dont kid yourself girl. Leo was continually caught behind on a lead by a guy who wouldnt get a game at any other club. He was given a lesser like player with the expectation to dominate from his position by running off when appropriate... not to break even. WHen he has the ball these days he ends up running a few paces and propping. Then chipping to a free man. His drive is non existent. Compared to 2003 when he and Tiger would break open the middle with penetrating runs, he is well down.

Also he is one that will rarely be leaving an opponent to try to spoil another. Something Bolton will always do is leave his man to help another who is being beat in a contest. When on Drum or Murphy, Leo should have been assisting Bolton in the air... this rarely happened.

With all the talk of cbolton being average, does that mean that every player who plays on hally is average because he kicks a couple of goals?
