    Victory Song

Any reason why the last two victory songs(Kanga`s & Freo) were sung with as much gusto like they were at a funeral. Cripes, most clubs sing like they had just won 10 million bucks, but the swannies recently sound & look flat!!

Come on boys. Sing with the same energy as you had in that last quarter.

The enthusiasm of the song is usually an indication of the quality of the victory.

For three quarters IMO we were worse than against Collingwood last week and it was painful to watch.

But the final term showed what we are capable of and we ended up winning easily with Bazza, Kirky and Jude doing very little.

That's a good sign, but form like that next week will be a major problem.

The telecast by the TV stations of the singing , by the players, of the team song is nothing short of banal. I hate it. I wish they would leave it alone. Who wants to watch and listen to a song sung nasally and out of tune?
      Does anyone really enjoy it?
I'm sure the players would rather it wasn't on telly.

        Working on that apparently.
Weights conditioning training on Thursdays are being replaced by choir practice.

The only time I ever wanted to really watch it was against the Aints in the PF last year, and stupid 10 only got about a 1/4 of it on tape.

I don't mind them signing the song after every victory, but when they have not played really well or the opposition is weak then I have no issue with them just going through the motions.

Rousing reditions of the song should be left for special occasions such as the game next week against Adelaide or Preliminary Final victories.

Makes it all the more special when you can link arms with your team mates, look them in the eye and belt out the song knowing that you did it when it counted.

Would you be enthusiastic singing with that idiot Kenny flaying his arms around like a demented conductor. Come on get rid of Kenny.

I must admit. I`ve been following the Swans for ages now, but being in Perth I suppose I`m out of the loop a bit. Who is that guy? Is he the same one or one of those oldies who have been behind the goal posts for the last 100 or so years.

Actually on Saturday night he was standing with his arm around LRT, not in the centre "leading" the song.
