    Champion Team of Nothing

The most noticeable thing for me about the team this year is the lack of support for each other.

When Bevo stuffed up in the 3rd Q (?) - it was the young boys that ran over and gave him encouragement. Where are our 3 Captains?

Really disappointing the lack of team spirit when we score a goal or make a great tackle. Where are the bloods?

The was a great shepherd by Goodes for Micky that resulted in a Davis goal.

Was sitting right near that and damn it sounded good! The freo player had no idea what had hit him!

But I do agree team spirit seems a little low lately. The only exception was in the 4th quarter when williams passed to davis for a goal, and a lot of guys went to willo to pat him on the back for his set up.

I sit right next to the pocket where Bevan miskicked that ball (under extreme pressure!) and i distinctly remember at least Goodesy running over to Bevan to say dont worry about it. There were others but i cant recall who, but im pretty sure they were senior players.

A glorious bump if I recall correctly.

There are a couple of small things that need to be addressed:

              1. Making tackles stick (some average efforts compared to our best), respect your opponent and wear him tight on the rebound too

              2. Hemming the ball into the F50, harrass until the turn over ensues

              3. Running for each other from defence. This is so obvious but only done half a dozen times max a game lately

              4. Self-less attitude on goalward dleivery, send the ball to the dangerous forward line at every opportunity

I call them small because we know these guys know how to do all of those things well. It's just time to wake up and click it into gear.

Leo was definately there giving Paul a pat on the back and some encouraging words. I just walked out of the toilet, and saw all the attention he was getting but missed the actual play.
