    Goodes

Goodes has to be considered one of the best players in the game at the moment.

He's our best contested mark in the side by a long way. 1 on 1 he usually wins.
He can not only play tall, but is exceptional with the loose ball. On the ground he's as good a rover as we have. And finally his off the ball work and shepparding, sets up lots of plays and goals.

Every successful team needs an x-factor player, and Goodes is the best in the business. He's really come back well after his knee injuries.

The most important player in our team IMO.

Yep, one of the elite players in the comp. His contested marking has certainly come a long way since Rocket played him CHF. Though now he usually doesn't have to contend with a similar-sized opponent trying to spoil him.

Most important is harder to judge. I'd still lean towards Hall.

Fitness aside for a moment and depending on opponent, but I would have considered slotting Goodesy into FF a bit on Sat night and had Baz run his opponent (Parker?) around the ground a bit.

I thought Baz got stuck on the goal square a bit and Freo were so Baz-centric with their defending, made it a hard night for the big champ.

Goodesy did so many important things off the ball on Saturday night that if he had kicked a couple of goals, he'd have ended up with a sparkling night out on the docks.
