    everitt

accoring to the sun herald, Peter Everitt is set to join the sydney swans next year on a $700.000 two year deal, could be three, this would be a great boost to the ruck division.

I thin Everitt is at the end of his career already. I reackon we'll only get 12 or so games out of him next year if he comes up.

The Age - also runs the story.

Now who to trade to ensure we get him...

          My nominations are:

          Doyle
          Chambers
          Davis

Although how other teams trade may have an impact on what we need to do

Spider still has plenty left in him. He wants to play, and he would be a bargain at the price quoted over two years.

The plus side is we get an experienced ruckman who can assist the development of others.

Don't like this either. Only pre-season draft if we must get him.

i like it. he was all-australian last year and anything is better than chambers. i reckon we should trade doyle and an average draft pick for him, because no-one will take chambers. either that or in the pre-season draft. btw how does that (pre-season) draft work?

I wouldn't like to give up a draft pick for Spida, but I'll back the coaching staff if they think he can last 2-3 more seasons.

My money would be on a low pick in teh national draft or a direct player swap (Spriggs, Schmidt or Willoughby would be likely candidates).

Craig Hutchinson in The Age. Seriously does anyone take him seriously. This rumpour has been around for ages.

I think a trade would be unlikely, PSD is the way to go. It's a very strong draft and you wouldn't want to give up more thann a 3rd rounder for him.. And to be honest I don't think he's much value to other teams at that price.

No one. We pick him up in the pre-season draft for nothing.

He's off contract at the end of this year.
