    One swan's a sinner

    One Swan's a sinner

Swans fans have taken Nick Davis's side in the great rift at the club and that is probably because they can smell a rat. Davis is right to feel hard done by. At least one of his teammates were partying at a Kings Cross nightspot into the wee hours of the morning - yes, THAT morning - before the swans' loss to the Crows. Swans officials need only to review the tape to see who put in an uncharacteristic effort that day and find out who wasn't in bed when he should have been.
In today's "Off the Record", which in the the sports section of the Sun Herald in Sydney. Story is unavailable on online.

Could have been any of them, considering how pathetic they were against Adelaide.

As far as I am concerned, the amount of money these guys are paid not to play up before a game, whoever this person is, if it is true, should be hung, drawn and quartered.

Johnny Hay copped a terrible hiding down here for his drinking before a reserves game in Tassie.

Those SUnday gossip columns have a 2% strike rate for being correct. I wouldn't be reading too much into it...

Sure about that? They have had a pretty good strike rate over the past few years with breaking stories.

I had heard that one particular Swan was still on the piss about a month ago, and still saying that the team would click into gear 'shortly', not wanting to 'peak too early'. For the record, it was not Davo it it was from a pretty good source. Let's go to the disco?

I wonder why this hasn't generated as much passion as Davo speaking to the media?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I doubt it will be Mathews. It will be one of the guys without an immediate family I think.

I believe this reference is to the player's dance during the celebrations at the Punt Rd Oval after the GF. It was started by Matthew Nicks not Ben Matthews. Check the footage again.

Yep - I always associate this with Nicks.
