    Putting himself before the team?

"When he [Kirk] came back to the sidelines about ten minutes after it [being knocked unconscious] happened he actually wanted to go back on."
The team is bigger than the individual Brett.

Oh, but ROK, such bravery would inspire the team. Who cares if he can't play well, as long as he's inspiring his teammates. That is, after all, the pinacle of footballing achievement, to be an inspiration.

Perhaps he should inspire his teamates by doing the Kokoda trail again...immediately.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

And they could get a Fuzzy Wuzzy to kick him in the head every few hours for added inspiration.

The way he was walking when he came back out inspired me to drink another six.

I dont get it. Do you mean that once you've won a flag, your next goal is to be an inspiration? Or do you mean that being an inspiration is the pinnacle of football? Or is footballing is the inspirational pinnacle? Or is inspiration defined by an achieving football?

I thought inspiration was defined as Kirk's one armed dad.

Maybe Brett should chop one of his arms off. That would be inspirational.

Do we really need two anti Kirk threads posted on the same day by the same person?

Probably not. But, the question is being asked: was Captain Kirk putting himself before the team by asking to come back on? The other thread is pro Spriggs (named in the best every match this season) and contrasts him with the obviously struggling Kirk. So maybe we do. Two different issues. It's not my fault he is playing crap at the moment.

He's probably read some of your posts and lost his zen.

Kirky should be rested this week, like Bevan should have been you get concussion should be one week off IMO.
Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

If he is fit he should play

Kirk averages 18 disposals per game and in his last full game had 11 tackles against west coast. There is no debate if fit he plays.

No one including Spriggs is going to beat that in their first game for the year.

I would consider resting him for one game if he wasn't 100 %. If Kirk goes down it will be really hard for us to win the Premiership. Bolton would have to step up and win more contested footy consistently throughout thegame not just in bursts for a quarter.
