I've been following AFL since 1995, but I realise that there is still lots about the game I don't know. It has never really bothered me until now, as I enjoy the game as a spectacle and know a fair amount about it. But having not grown up with the game or played it, I'm sure I don't know all of the aspects of the game that I could know.
So I am wondering if anyone can tell me where would be the best place to find the actual rules of the game, and also some written info and/or pictures on the technical aspects/positional plays/reading the game, etc. Anything that's a bit more in-depth than just the usual info. that we get here in Sydney where most of the info. is merely on the players and the teams.
I've done a google search and came up with 21,000 websites, but couldn't find anything of help without spending a full day reading it. I also did a good search of the AFL website but couldn't find what I'm looking for. My library doesn't have anything.
Any help would be much appreciated.
