Agree completely. Give him 3-4 weeks to prove his worth. An injury in this time also proves he is a liability.

I think you're right, otherwise it's delisting for Doyle I would guess. He at least needs a chance to prove himself (again).

While we could go into the finals with only Jolly, its putting all our eggs in one basket. If jolly gets injured during a game, then we are stuffed, and in a cut throat finals series thats season over.
Other teams may also target Jolly for that reason.

And given how many decent knocks Jolly has had in recent weeks, it wouldn't be a surprise to see something more serious happen.

Cruiser that is a very good idea, maybe you can take over from Roosy at end of the year.

Yes. Doyle is a decent footballer - not especially mobile but good in the ruck, can kick a goal (with either foot) and when forward has to take a respectable defender. It's now or never for the Big Donk.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

What are the odds he'll do himself an injury trying to get through the Banner?

Thats what he won a brownlow doing,i can't see how it would ruin his chance for a second one.

It also injured him and put him on the bench through 2004. Leave Goodes where he is so he can work his magic all over the field.
LRT hasnt been back into the ruck after his sterling quarter where he turned the game against Freemantle. I wonder why, could he be too valuable in defence

Let Doyle try. it's what he was hired and paid for. he's been getting paid without doing any A grade rucking for nearly two years. Put him to the test against the Bombers
