    Depth

The swans have blooded 3 rookies in 3 games. We are setting up for the finals. Giving us a bit of depth. Over the next few weeks they will be eased back into the 2's. But we still have to slot in Doyle, Davis and Crouch before the finals to get them up to AFL speed.

I think Doyle this week. Davis in week after, and Crouch in for the Geelong game.

This will give us the depth across the lines: (ie backups from the main team)
    Tall Backs: Richards, Vogels
    Small backs: Crouch, Matthews
    Midfielders: Crouch, Fosdike
    Ruck: Doyle, Richards, Chambers
    Tall Forwards: Vogels, Grundy
    Small forwards: Phillips

There is a fair bit of movement their too. But we will basically have coverage in all positions with AFL experience via 8 or 9 players.

If we keep winning, this phase of building depth will look like a masterstroke.

Provided there are no hammies, groins, knees etc. Fingers crossed.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

No Schmidt? Probably needs a couple more senior games to prove he can handle the game.

I hope he gets at least 3 in a row, to give him a chance to impress. And so those of us without FoxFooty get a chance to see him play.

I wonder what his skin folds are like.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Is this the longest run Doyle has had off the injury list?

                Maybe a banner is warranted.
