    Jolly: Under instruction?

Jolly has seemingly been grounded this season (to avoid injury I assume). He loves to fly but he hasn't exactly been collecting Frequent Flyer points this year. I can't wait for the finals! Cleared for takeoff!

He has really played well in the past month. I think it's the extra responsibility now that Unco has been dropped.

If Donkey can return well this week and for the rest of the year then all this talk about Spida will be long forgotten.

Jolly was great over the past couple of weeks, his hitouts are more effective and are actually landing into the swan's laps. Jolly has improved incredibly...and he made 44(?) hitouts against Essendon! Go Jolly!!!

Was watching the replay this arvo. Jolly was standing right next to the inner circle at centre bounces and wasn't bothering with any run up at all. He allowed Hille to do the run and jump. Obviously worked.

Might be something in the "avoiding the injury theory".

funny, I have a vivid memory of Hille waiting for Jolly to tap and he just roved Jolly's tap. Probably only happened once.
I do agree Jolly is playing pretty good footy ATM.
Which came first? The teams form improving or Jolly's form improving?

I am very pleased that my criticism of Jolly about 4-5 weeks ago, stating that he will only ever be as good as a 2nd ruckman, is being proved WRONG.

Rounds 17 and 18 by a large distance his best 2 games of the year-- that's what a premiership teaches you. You know when to start peaking. If he played his best 2 games of the year in Rs 8 and 9, he'd be playing for Richmond.

I think that Darren has really stepped up this year, not just in terms of his playing but with regards to the amount of time on the ground.

With Melbourne as 2nd ruck to White he recieved fairly limited game time, and even last year he was leading the AFL as the 'most benched' player.

This year has been quite a increase in workload and responsibility and he has done well in my opinion.

or if he was injured he'd be on St Kildas list.
