    St. Kilda...Season Over??

Maguire out. Is that it for them?

I don't see how they can cover that loss.

Kind of annoying if it is the death knell for their season, because it will give them the "injuries" excuse for failing....again.

He is a big loss for them, however they have a history of success without him. They upset minor premier Adelaide in the first week of the finals last year with him out of the side.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

Their injury "excuses" have not been unreasonable.

Kosi, Hayes and Hamill are bigger losses. Combined with Maguire they can't go too far in September, but I wouldn't underestimate their ability to cause a shock upset if not taken seriously.

Yeah. I wasn't suggesting their injury list is not a big factor. Just that it would be so much more pertinent if they failed with most of their players fit and firing.

I was told on saturday that they have 17 first round draft picks on their list

2 or more losses in the next 4 may put them out of the 8, and they have some tough games coming up.

I still believe they will play in the finals. How far will they go, it's a totally different question.

agree. probly finish 6-8 and get knocked out in either the first or second week. injuries are too much- add maguire to hayes, kosi, hamill, raph clarke.
but i do think this whole constant injury curse at st kilda thing is a bit stupid though, because they undoubtedly have the best list in the comp, right? so whenever one of their best 22 gets injured it's going to seem like a super-great player is out. so with so many good players on your list, every injury is going to seem like a massive blow to their premiership hopes. just my thoughts...

I dont care how or why St Kilda get knocked out of the finals, so long as they are out and the Saints supporters suffer. Even better still if its Sydney dispatching them to Mad Monday.

Don't you mean they allegedly have the best list in the AFL?

Glad to see the "experts" got it wrong, the Saints aren't premiership favourites...

im just talking about talent here, not spirit or hard work. if it was talent, just pure talent across the park with no injuries, i, and many others (not including saints fans), believe st kilda would win the premiership.

Except you forgot that they don't have a coach. They won't win it whilst Thomas is there.

I find it frustrating that Hamill is always injured yet is always considered the missing ingredient.

I can't recall the last time this clown has played.

He is of no value to that club whatsoever.
