I think i can WAIT for one season wonder,Nick Davis to re appear in the team.

I am not losing sleep over it.
Well done Craig Bolton for getting the co- captaincy in 2008.

Your determination, your tenacity and your under-rated skill is why you have become my favourite player!

No, but we've been to matches where we see so many team mates IGNORE him

Do you have anything of value to contribute to this discussion?
So not wanting a selfish, lazy tool in the side is being IRRATIONAL is it? Thanks for butting in. Now if you care to open your eyes and read, you will see I have made a contribution. And just because it is contrary to your passionate devotion to Nicky Woop, I couldn't care less. The sooner he is out of the club, the better. Now chew on that for a contribution.

I feel the coach Roo has a glaring coach weakness in regards to Nick Davis. His personal "agenda has clouded his vision in preparing an ideal team at the business end of the "final games coming up.

The reason given by the Roo has been form & fitness all this while. what does it takes for a a reasonable fit player to get up to prime fitness? I exercise/run/jog off & on and I KNOW it does NOT TAKE THAT LONG for a person to get to top/higher fitness, let alone a reasonable fit Davis before the demotion. Is Roos telling us that Davis refuse to cooperate to increase his fitness since his demotion? eg he refuse to follow the exercise routine etc. I doubt so. This kind of problem regarding an invaluable player is best solved internally - the coach shoud TAKE THE LEAD. If he does not, its a BLACK mark on his coaching, no matter how successful he is.
Form - well we know he is top stuff in his abiltity to score. Was he not contibuting enough before the demotion? there are others as well who have not contributed too before the recent run of success. I agreed with Davis that he should not be the scapegoat for the poor run of form before the current success though this kind of comment should also be an internal team player-coach discussion.
Team is not keen to get Davis back? From the photo published 1-2 days ago with their "after the game" dip in the water, Davis & the team appear to be quite together. it dont appear that the team is shying away from Davis. on top of that, you have player calling for his return as well.
Why would you have Phillips playing for so many games when senior Davis is all set/keen to go? It is clearly obvious Philips is not ready for the big league. Are the coahing panel going nuts/blind? Wake up! yes, we need to train rookies but your (roos) vision is blurring, to say the least currently.
Who sell more tickets? who does the majority of swan supporter want to see? philips or davis? in the scale of 1 to 10, I want to see Philip 0.5x. 10x I want to see davis in action to achieve our goal/winning with greater ease.

How many times do I have to say it? Roos is using semantics. He's referring to Davis' MENTAL fitness, not PHYSICAL fitness. Until he gets his head right, he wont be in the team. It is obvious.

If the coach is implying that it is the mental weakness, then he should come out say it CLEARLY (since this matter is broght to the open), not beating around the bush, HIDING behind words & go with the flow/interpretation to SUIT him.

What is there to indicate that there was mental problem before his demotion? What was his mental problem? If it is a sick mental problem that cannot be solved currently, let it be known that he "sick mental" (that is not obvious from the recent photo of him with the team) & he DESERVES to be given the rest for the rest of this season. If he is temporary mental , eg like the way MOL getting the yips in scoring, he definitely deserves an EARLIER recall. If he is mental because he wont listen to the coach/follow routines etc, then come out and say it eg "we have given every opportunity/warning for Davis to follow our strict routines and he has failed by our coaching/players team standard. As a result, Davis is sent to the seconds to gather his thoughts on which direction that he wants to go & to maintain his fitness"

Dont go beating around the bush for us who are keen to have him back.
I feel that his current long demotion is strongly/mainly due to his one-off press comment which the coach, I feel, has taken it personally - an indication of coaching weakness.

Roos has not shown weakness. Coaches never mean things as they appear. Sheedy has made a career out of that. They all do. Davis has transgressed team rules, has been insubordinate, and Roos has the strength of character to discipline him until he repents and tows the line. A sign of weakness is Mick Malthouse. That's weakness. He sets rules and then exonerates a couple of tools who demonstrated petulant behaviour in public. All that has done has set an "us versus them" culture within the team. Did you notice Nathan Buckley's obvious "discomfort" with Malthouse's decision? There are problems there now. Malthouse has jeopardised team harmony. Roos isn't jeopardisng team harmony, in fact, he is instlling it.

                  Well said..........

Roos isn`t going to reveal to all what the real problem is. Nicky knows, and Roos knows. That`s all that matters.

Having said that, I bet my Swannie Stubbie holder that Little Nicky will be playing this Saturday!!!

Now there is someone who knows something about team dynamics. Finally a breath of fresh air and reason. Take note everyone.

They are small, I don't particuarly mean to actually push them out of the way.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
