Well with the Swans back in Melbourne to play their first match in Melbourne for over 2 months to play the Demons, the tradition of the RWO Melbourne Pre Match Meet Up's returns to it MCG home base - The Cricketers Arms for the first time in over a year. So for those interested in meeting up with some of their fellow Melbourne based members of RWO over a brew or two then take this chance.
For those who haven't been to the Arms, there isn't a great deal of options for food, just a BBQ in the beer garden out the back which dishes up some pretty good BBQ food. Inside there are two main bar areas, the front bar which is mainly standing room only and a bar out the back ajoining the beer garden which is set up with large table and chair and which we'll grab. To find us look for the large set of Red and White Flags. Kids are more than welcome at the Arms so bring them along if you want to.
Where: The CricketersArms. 327 Punt Rd, Richmond. On the corner of Punt Road and Tanner Street. Right across the road from Punt Road Oval and an easy walk from the MCG and Richmond Train Station.
When: From 11.30am.
After the match its off to Patony's in South Melbourne for Pizza (and at this stage I also believe that this week there is also an official club after match function at the ground, more details when I get them or someone else does - whichever comes first).
